January always feels like the “okay… let’s actually do this” month. Fresh year, fresh energy, same love for tattoos and chaos (the good kind). So here’s what’s new, what’s continuing, and what you might want to take advantage of before future-you forgets.

Monthly Flash Tattoo Giveaways (Yes, They’re Staying)

By very popular demand the monthly flash tattoo giveaways are continuing for the next few months at least. Instead of limiting the winners to my email subscribers (that's you!) the monthly contest will be hosted on Instagram, and all the rules live in the caption of my pinned post, so I won’t bore you by pasting them here like terms and conditions no one reads.

Important good news for you, specifically: If you’re reading this as an email subscriber, you’re already automatically entered into this month’s drawing. Zero effort required. We love that.

Want more entries? Head over to my pinned post on Instagram and follow the instructions there. There’s no limit to how many times you can enter, so if you’re feeling ambitious (or competitive), go wild. My New Years Resolution is that I'm committed to drawing a new flash sheet each month. Not just regular daily doodles, I want a fully polished fresh flash sheet available each month! I'll add them to this blog post and I started an Instagram highlight to showcase them so you'll have no shortage of ink inspiration for your next tattoo.

Instagram is a strange beast. Likes help. Comments help even more. Saves help a lot. If you’ve ever enjoyed a post of mine, interacting with it keeps my work from disappearing into the void.

Referral Program: Your Friends Have Cool Skin Too

If you’ve already been tattooed by me and you’ve told a friend about it — first of all, thank you. Second of all, you should be getting rewarded for that.

If you refer someone and they book and get tattooed, you get tattoo credit. They get cool art. You get closer to your next piece. Everyone wins and no one had to sell plasma.

If you’re ever unsure whether someone mentioned your name when booking, just ask. I keep track, I promise.

Gift Cards Are Always Available (And Never the Wrong Size)

Tattoo gift cards are available year-round on my website and can be used toward any future appointment.

They’re perfect if:

  • You don’t know what design someone wants (smart)

  • You want to help fund a larger piece

  • You’re treating yourself but calling it “planning ahead”

They don’t expire, they don’t judge, and they won’t end up in a junk drawer.

New: Forms You Can Fill Out Before Your Appointment

I’ve updated my tattoo consent and medical history forms so you can read and submit them in advance of your appointment. This means less clipboard time and more tattoo time. That said — and this is important — valid photo ID is still required at your appointment. Let’s keep everyone safe, professional, and fully out of jail.

Final Notes From Your Friendly Neighborhood Tattooer

Thank you for being here, supporting my work, entering giveaways, referring friends, and generally making this whole tattoo-artist-owned-business thing possible.

Keep an eye on Instagram for the latest flash sheet and giveaway details, and as always, feel free to reply to this email or message me if you have questions.

Now go drink some water. January is dehydrating.
